Bitter or Sour Taste in Your Cup? Coffee Brewing Tips

Sometimes you get a coffee that everyone you know says is great. You taste it and wonder - what are they talking about?

Well you could say everyone has different tastes, and this is true, however, there is something to say for how you prepare something as well. The best steak in the world can taste bad if it’s not prepared well. 

First, let’s address the bitter sour taste. 

Brewed or Sat Too Long

Say what? You mean coffee doesn’t get better the longer it sits? No, Ma'am!

When you go to a restaurant and you feel like you are drinking acid that’s because the coffee was left in the grounds too long (French Press) or brewed coffee itself has been sitting for a long time. If the coffee is over 20 min old, we suggest you brew fresh (or ask your server to).
