Craft roasting means taking the beans in front of you and roasting them to bring out their best flavor. You could have a coffee heavy with fruit tones and if you roast it too dark, it will have a winey taste. On the other hand, if the coffee has chocolate notes, and you roast it to light, you won't taste it.
Small batch means greater control over the roasting and freshness. Big coffee makers roast hundreds of pounds at a time because they don't care if it sits on a shelf for 1 - 2 years. We take pride in delivering freshly roasted coffee and even put the date roasted on every bag.
USDA Organic Certified
COFFEE IS ONE OF THE MOST HEAVILY SPRAYED CROPS Why mess with nature? Coffee naturally grows in the shade of other trees and when in a harmonious environment things such as pests and plant diseases hardly exist. Not only is organic good for your body, but it's also better for the farmers, for wildlife and the land. We only use coffee that is organic certified. Additionally, our facility where the coffee is roasted is organic certified. We clean with natural approved cleaners such as hydrogen peroxide and vinegar and since we only roast coffee there is no risk of allergy contaminants.
In addition to Organic, we source coffee from farms that carry specialty certifications wherever possible. We do this because we want to support farms that are going the extra mile for their communities, wildlife and the environment.
